#C45 In the Marsh
Approx. 10"h x 4"w
$288

In the Marsh is most nostalgic to Kevin, who admired egrets in the marsh on his daily commute to the farm. Design by Kevin, Mary and Eric.

#C46 Garden Visitor
Approx. 6.50"h x 6"w
$248

Bunnies were everywhere on the farm, around the marsh, and on the nearby bike trail. In the spring it was fun to watch the baby cottontails hopping across the driveway. After all, who could imagine a farm without rabbits? Design by Laura and Eric.

#C47 Black-Eyed Susan
Approx. 7.75"h x 4"w
$188

Beautiful Black-Eyed Susans were abundant along the roadsides. Our neighbor on the farm had one in her garden that was so tall that the blossoms reached the rooftop! Design by  Laura and Eric.

On March 1, 2009 Ephraim Pottery moved to the little town of Lake Mills, Wisconsin. Prior to the move, the pottery had been located on a farm in a rented barn building. After more than 10 years on the farm, it felt like a home-away-from-home for most of us. The rural setting influenced us in many ways, personally, professionally and aesthetically. Our artists shared the beauty of our surroundings through the colors and motifs used for many of our pieces.

To honor the influence that the farm has had on our lives and work, we have created a small collection called Farewell to the Farm. These pieces were inspired by the plants, animals and colors that were familiar sights on or near the farm and are our way of saying “thank you” and “so long” to the farm and the landlords who were so kind and supportive for those 10+ years.

The Farewell to the Farm series will be offered for one year only*, and no more than 500 pieces will be made of each design. The pieces in this series will bear an additional mark on the foot designating them as part of  the Farewell to the Farm collection. Please join us in  honoring the important role that the farm played in our lives and in our work by adding the Farewell to the Farm pieces to your personal collection.

* Ordering deadline for Farewell to the Farm pieces will be June 30th, 2010.
