Ordering Directly from Ephraim Pottery

Please carefully read the information below. It explains our ordering and return policies, and gives important information about our pottery. If you have any questions, please call us at 888-704-POTS.

Delivery Time

Here is a general guideline of shipping times. We will let you know of any changes to this general timeline when you call to place your order.

  • Pieces in our current catalog that have a color choice ship in about a week.*

  • Pieces in our current catalog that are only available "As Shown" (color: AS) ship immediately.*

  • Pieces that are not in our current catalog (in the "Still Available from Past Catalogs" section) ship in about 4-6 weeks.

* Unless our inventory is depleted due to an unexpectedly high volume of orders.

Catalog & Website Orders: Return Policy

Each item you order is made by hand. Like snowflakes, no two pieces are exactly alike. The piece you receive will differ slightly in color, size and decoration from the example pictured on this web site and in our paper catalog. These variations are natural parts of the pottery-making process and should be expected. We carefully inspect each piece for defects, such as chips, cracks or glaze misses, before it leaves our studio.

EFP guarantees that all items shipped will be first-quality, non-defective and substantially the same as the example pictured in the catalog. Your satisfaction is very important to us. If you are unhappy with your purchase in any way, please call us within 30 days of receipt of your order. We will work with you to find a mutually agreeable solution to your concern. Shipping and handling charges are only refundable in cases where we made an error. If there is a problem with your shipment, please save all packing materials and call our office within 1 week of receipt.

Shipping

Shipping and handling charges are calculated based on the total cost of your order. The chart at right lists our shipping charges.

Orders shipped to addresses in the U.S. are generally shipped by UPS. Additional charges apply for overnight, 2-day, or 3-day shipment. For orders shipping to addresses outside the U.S., please call for shipping and handling charges.

Sales Tax

Wisconsin residents must add 5.5% sales tax to the total cost of their order including shipping and handling charges.

Important Information About Our Pottery

OUR POTTERY IS NOT WATER-TIGHT. We do not recommend putting water directly in our vases. If you wish to display live flowers, we suggest using a protective floral liner (a glass or plastic cup works fine) and a drip pan in order to protect the life of your piece and your furniture from water damage.

As with any other work of art, exposure to extremes in temperature is not recommended. Art pottery should be dusted with a dry, soft cloth. Although there is no lead in any of our glazes, we do not consider our art pottery to be food safe.

Ready to order?

If you'd like to order by phone, please call us at 888-704-POTS. We will ask you for the following information:

  • Your name

  • Your billing address

  • Your shipping address

  • Your daytime phone number

  • Your email address, which will only be used to correspond with you about your order and provide you with your UPS tracking number

  • Your Visa, MasterCard or Discover card number, expiration date, the cardholder's full name, and the 3-digit security code from the back of the card. Your credit card will not be charged until we are ready to ship your order.

  • The item number(s) and name(s) of the piece(s) you would like

  • If there is a color choice, the color you have chosen

If you are using a charge card, please make sure to include the cardholder's signature and the credit card security code. Because email is not secure, we do not recommend sending credit card information or any other sensitive personal or financial information by email.
