Moonlight Cat Tile by Ephraim Pottery

Marblehead Pottery’s iconic “Stalking Panther” bowl, circa 1910 inspired this tile. Our version features a house cat perched atop a cloud rise motif that is back-lit by the full moon. The cloud rise is a design element developed by celebrated turn-of-the-century architects Greene and Greene, it continues to influence decorative and fine arts, architecture and furniture design today. Therefore, Ephraim’s Moonlight Cat tile pays homage to the mysterious, primal qualities of the feline experience, sometimes shared by their devoted human companions.
