Tiffany Iris Vase

This stunning addition to our Rhythm Line translates the luminous beauty of a stained glass window into clay. Three irises rise within a vertical panel, their white petals glowing against a mosaic of hand-painted color — cobalt blue, golden yellow, sage, and green — each section outlined in crisp black linework reminiscent of a stained glass window. Every color is carefully applied by hand, making each vase a painstaking labor of precision and artistry. Louis Comfort Tiffany transformed the art of stained glass in the late 19th century, elevating botanical subjects — irises among his favorites — into radiant works of light and color. This vase is our tribute to that legacy, reimagined in the ceramic medium.

Design

  • Wheel-thrown, sculpted & glazed by hand
  • Approximately 10″H x 4.5″ W
  • No two pieces of the same design look exactly alike, that’s part of the magic of handmade ceramics.
  • Because we lean away from technologies like molds, templates, and casts, each piece is wholly unique.
  • Minor variations in size, decoration, color and finish are intrinsic to our pottery.

Care

  • Traditional earthenware is porous; liner recommended for use with water
  • To dust, simply use only a dry, soft cloth
