Perennial Iris Vase

$398

Bold, high-relief sculpture is a signature of our studio, and few motifs showcase this better than the iris. Collectors may recall “Laura’s Vase” — our celebrated 2015 design featuring dramatic iris sculpture that became an instant favorite. The Perennial Iris Vase revisits that beloved inspiration in a striking new form, this time rendered in rich purple and violet tones that showcase our evolving glaze mastery. Two irises rise on graceful stems, their ruffled petals sculpted individually by hand with expressive dimensionality. Set against a flowing matte green glaze, the blooms command attention on this tall, elegant form. Like the flower itself, some inspirations return season after season — each time revealing something new.

Handmade ceramic pottery. Please expect and embrace the variation inherent in our process.

Design

  • Wheel-thrown, sculpted & glazed by hand
  • Approximately 12.75″H x 7″ W
  • No two pieces of the same design look exactly alike, that’s part of the magic of handmade ceramics.
  • Because we lean away from technologies like molds, templates, and casts, each piece is wholly unique.
  • Minor variations in size, decoration, color and finish are intrinsic to our pottery.

Care

  • Traditional earthenware is porous; liner recommended for use with water
  • To dust, simply use only a dry, soft cloth
