The small seaside town of Cambria, California holds a special place in our hearts as it is home to one of our two art pottery galleries. We often travel to Cambria—south of Big Sur and the Monterey Peninsula—and over the past ten years have found bountiful inspiration from the area. From October through February monarch butterflies overwinter in the eucalyptus trees of Central California. This tile depicts the majestic monarch, spreading its wings. Defined by the prominent Morro Rock – a 576 foot high volcanic rock in the harbor, Morro Bay is a quaint town on California’s scenic Central Coast.
