Ephraim Mug Club’s June offering feels like summer, a season of tranquility, playfulness, warm breezes, and bright sunny days. Prominent throwing lines—created by the potter’s hands as they shape and form the clay on the rotating wheel—add a distinct texture and organic feel to the body of the mug. A delicate and vibrant poppy, hand-sculpted in bas-relief, adds depth and dimension to the design. Finished in a soothing color palette of matte seafoam and earthy yellow glazes accented with a subtle pop of dreamsicle-orange, the beach-inspired Coastal Poppy Mug creates a sense of summertime serenity.

Because we lean away from technologies like molds, templates, and casts, each piece is wholly unique. Minor variations in size, decoration, color and finish are intrinsic to our pottery.
