  • Tile stands from Ephraim Studios are a great solution for those who wish to display our tiles on a tabletop. Our stands are made by hand using a process similar to that of our frames. White oak is cut, planed, and sanded to perfection, then fumed and stained to darken the wood to a classic Arts-and-Crafts hue. Polyurethane is applied to seal and protect the wood.

    Some members of the magnolia family can trace their ancient origins back 95 million years—before bees were the bees knees—and to this day are pollinated instead by beetles. This vase celebrates the magnificent blossoms of the great magnolia tree. Dramatic sculpting and a cascading glaze application of green mingling with vibrant pinks and cranberry make this a stunning statement piece.

    Handmade to order. No two pieces of the same design look exactly alike, that’s part of the magic of handmade ceramics. Because we lean away from technologies like molds, templates, and casts, each piece is wholly unique. Minor variations in size, decoration, color and finish are intrinsic to our pottery. Please expect and embrace the variation inherent in our process.

    Native to the lush, damp woodlands of Wisconsin, the arrowhead plant serves as the inspiration for the stunning Tall Arrowhead Leaf Vase. This tall, graceful piece showcases three sculpted handles, each adorned with an arrowhead leaf that extends down the vase's body, mirroring its elegant silhouette. A mesmerizing palette of lush greens and tranquil blues, enhanced by a blue crackle glaze, evokes the refreshing atmosphere of a serene lake or gentle stream. The studio revisits our popular Craftsman Rose motif in this tall, elegant vase. Bold architecture and abstract, stylized roses anchor the top of the vase. The strong sculpture fades into soft curves at the bottom of the form, providing a nice counterbalance. Handmade to order. This bridge, which has no beginning and no end, reminds us that it's about the journey, not the destination. This unique piece exemplifies what can be achieved by pushing the limits to what can be done with clay. The pedestal of the base is hollow. It is topped by an insert that caps off the space inside the pedestal so that it can be used as an urn or to hide small treasures.*  This same cap serves as a base for a pillar candle or tea light to illuminate the lantern. The cut-outs in the base and the lid allow light and heat to escape and enhance the arched design of the bridge. Handmade to order. The Lookout Vase

    $ 318.00$ 648.00
    A lone crow poses on one of three branch handles, overlooking a moody and mysterious vista, framed by draping lichen. This piece was inspired by Ephraim artists’ trip to the West Coast, where soaring Monterey pine trees with lichen—so different from fir trees here in Wisconsin—fascinated them. The Lookout Vase is offered in two sizes and two glaze options.  Handmade to order. No two pieces of the same design look exactly alike, that’s part of the magic of handmade ceramics. This impressive piece offers a new twist - literally - on the beloved pine cone motif. Three tree limbs equally spaced around the top of the piece twist down to the shoulder, forming rustic handles. A pair of pine cones accented by long needles extends the design to nearly the full height of the piece. Handmade to order. Each spring we trek into the woods to seek the trillium blooms adorning the forest floor. The faultless symmetry of the trillium represents nature’s order and perfection, and this sweet tile characterizes that quintessential symmetry with the flower centered in a square border. The tritone is a musical interval composed of three adjacent whole tones. Ephraim artists play with a variation on this theme by creating three precisely, hand-rendered flower buds that encircle a small, soft form. The Tritone Vase is available in three glaze colors to coordinate with designs from our musically-inspired Rhythm Line, including the Revival Rose Vase the Lyrical Poppy Vase, and the Regency Poppy Vase.
