There is something understated and humble about a ginkgo leaf that makes it a fitting motif for the pawn figure in our chess-themed collection. This sweet piece is larger than some of our usual miniatures, but smaller than the typical cabinet vase. Two delicate ginkgo leaves flutter at the neck of this small bottle form. We offer the Ginkgo Pawn Bottle in two traditional Ephraim glaze variations—warm Algae and cool Teal—making this piece an easy addition to your existing collection. Handmade to order. No two pieces of the same design look exactly alike, that’s part of the magic of handmade ceramics. Because we lean away from technologies like molds, templates, and casts, each piece is wholly unique. Minor variations in size, decoration, color and finish are intrinsic to our pottery. Please expect and embrace the variation inherent in our process.

Sometimes nature in its simplest form is best. On this tile, a branch of pinecones is centered in a four-inch square composition, creating a pleasing vignette which complements our full range of pine-motif designs. The Pine Branch Tile is offered in three glaze colors – Chestnut, Indigo, and Teal.   Handmade to order. This elegant poppy design adds to our growing Rhythm Line. The pieces in this collection forego traditional sculptural elements in favor of streamlined forms, artistic abstractions, and incised, patterned black linework reminiscent of a musical staff. The Regency Poppy Vase channels graceful 1920’s Deco style to represent the state flower of California—the California Poppy.
