To celebrate our studio’s 25th anniversary, we wanted to reimagine a piece from the very beginning. In 1996, the original Apple Leaf Vase was a major foundational design. Ephraim’s founder and primary potter, Kevin Hicks, remembers the Apple Leaf Vase as the first piece on which the studio successfully rendered leaves in a style that looked lively and natural. These hard-won early techniques laid the groundwork for so much of what has become the ‘Ephraim style'. With the Apple Leaf Redux Vase we have built on the form and sculpting technique of the original and added our signature buds, providing a pop of color. This cabinet-sized vase is offered in our full line of classic Arts & Crafts colors. • The Athena Vase reinterprets one of our early pieces, the Greek Vase, on a smaller scale. A traditional Arts and Crafts leaf, bud, and teardrop motif encircles a timeless form, creating a pleasing symmetry. This piece is named for Athena, Greek goddess of inspiration and the arts. Before leaves broaden and fruit forms, trees greet spring with their beautiful blooming branches. This vase celebrates the dramatic beauty of a single blooming branch, which rests on the shoulder of a subtle and elegant, architectural vase.

The edges of roadways, vacant lots, and other barren and rocky places are inhospitable to all but the toughest of plants. Where others may see weeds, we see wildflowers. The creamy white of Queen Anne's Lace plays off the cool blue of chicory, dainty petals mixing with woody stalks and spiky leaves. This piece celebrates the resilient kind of beauty that thrives despite long odds. Handmade to order. You set out on a foggy morning with a mission to see something new. As you hike up the mountain the secluded cascade rewards you with a beautiful scene. Two towering pines guard the well-kept secret waterfall and ancient stony bridge. Each vase is sculpted individually by hand to create a bas-relief “sketch” that possesses amazing detail. A dynamic piece, the Craftsman Pine Bowl, marries Arts & Crafts-style metalwork and architecture with softer elements. The hammered texture and corbels on the shoulder anchor this round form, its hand-sculpted pine cones and needles, and its rich crackle glaze. This piece pairs nicely with the Craftsman Poppy Vase from our 2014 Studio Collection. Handmade to order. Since 1996, Ephraim art pottery vases have been the American decorative arts standard. Our aesthetic celebrates the hand of the maker. Each is wheel-thrown, hand-sculpted, and finished with our signature in-house designed glazes. As a result, the artist is reflected in each individually-crafted vase.

Our nature-inspired art pottery vases bring the outdoors inside your home. They incorporate botanical themes such as poppies, roses, irises, violets, pine needles, pine cones, oak leaves, acorns, and ginkgo leaves. We also enjoy representing animals, such as bats, ravens, cardinals, finches, foxes, bears, mice, cats, rabbits, and other fauna, into our vases.

Are you looking for a vase that fits into a specific spot in your home? We have miniature, small, seasonal-themed, centerpiece, and tall vases, and lidded jars. Ephraim Pottery vases range from two inches tall to 15 inches tall.

Perhaps you are searching for a certain color vase to accentuate your home’s other decorative elements. Our vases come in a range of earthy colors, from greens to olives, blues and teals, and yellows and bronze. These colors can perfectly complement classic decor’s jewel tones and pick up tones in traditional plant-dyed Persian rugs. In addition, our pottery vases’ earthy colors work well as a fresh, interesting conversation piece in minimalist and modern decorative schemes.
