Warmer weather and dusky skies beckon Wisconsin bats to begin their swooping ritual. These hypnotic creatures, descending from the trees and arching across the sky inspired this bat vase. Dramatic glazes and a delicately sculpted bat make this a moody, impactful piece. Handmade to order. There is something understated and humble about a ginkgo leaf that makes it a fitting motif for the pawn figure in our chess-themed collection. This sweet piece is larger than some of our usual miniatures, but smaller than the typical cabinet vase. Two delicate ginkgo leaves flutter at the neck of this small bottle form. We offer the Ginkgo Pawn Bottle in two traditional Ephraim glaze variations—warm Algae and cool Teal—making this piece an easy addition to your existing collection. Sometimes the world’s smallest creatures deserve the most careful notice. Notice the bee’s delicate wings; notice the bee’s patterned body; notice the bee’s important pollinating role in the ecosystem. Here a plump honey bee perches near the rim of a small, rippled form. A honey-like glossy amber glaze spills over a soft yellow matte glaze, inviting you to admire the little bee as it tends its honey.   Handmade to order. No two pieces of the same design look exactly alike, that’s part of the magic of handmade ceramics. Going back to ancient times, the Egyptians, the Greeks, and the Romans, all imparted symbolism to calla lily flowers. To this day, the showy blooms mark transitional events like weddings, anniversaries, and funerals. Here we commemorate the venerated calla lily on a small vase, in three glaze options—perfect as a gift for many meaningful occasions! Our New Frond vase is a harmonious new friend to perfectly unify your collection. This vase celebrates spring’s earliest arrival—the fiddlehead—on a structured and traditional Arts and Crafts form. Inspired by the historic and iconic Grueby Faience Pottery’s fern-handled vases circa 1910, Ephraim artists revisited the fern and leaf theme in these small, rounded vases. This vase joins our traditional line of vases in four rich patinas. Handmade to order. No two pieces of the same design look exactly alike, that’s part of the magic of handmade ceramics. The tritone is a musical interval composed of three adjacent whole tones. Ephraim artists play with a variation on this theme by creating three precisely, hand-rendered flower buds that encircle a small, soft form. The Tritone Vase is available in three glaze colors to coordinate with designs from our musically-inspired Rhythm Line, including the Revival Rose Vase the Lyrical Poppy Vase, and the Regency Poppy Vase.
