Visual rhythm creates a ceramic melody in the Canon Vase. Here, five hand-carved tulips encircle a graceful, understated form. We created the Centerpiece Ginkgo Bowl to be an upsized version of our popular, recently retired Ginkgo Branch Vase. This piece, with its arboreal motif and earthy colors, has a timeless appeal. In folklore, ravens often play the tricksters and here we have portrayed two mischievous and conspiring ravens on a thick tree branch that winds around this vase. Stretching from the bottom to the top of the vase, the branch is separated in the mid-section, enhancing the illusion of depth. Ephraim artists have spent the last year experimenting with electric lanterns and we are pleased to offer the Prairie Ginkgo Lantern in our new Studio Collection. A lid adorned with sculpted ginkgo leaves sits atop a narrow tapered form. The organic sculpting on the lid provides a nice counterpoint to the series of square window piercings and formal architecture of the lantern’s base. This lantern provides a soft glowing light—perfect for a night light or other mood lighting. Includes a small removable cord and bulb.
