A little bat with big personality wakes from slumber against a moody sky to take wing on a vespertine voyage. Like the bat itself, the hand-thrown bottle form and detailed sculpture work provide plenty of character and charm in a small package. Handmade to order. Because we lean away from technologies like molds, templates, and casts, each piece is wholly unique. Minor variations in size, decoration, color and finish are intrinsic to our pottery. Ephraim artists have spent the last year experimenting with electric lanterns and we are pleased to offer the Prairie Ginkgo Lantern in our new Studio Collection. A lid adorned with sculpted ginkgo leaves sits atop a narrow tapered form. The organic sculpting on the lid provides a nice counterpoint to the series of square window piercings and formal architecture of the lantern’s base. This lantern provides a soft glowing light—perfect for a night light or other mood lighting. Includes a small removable cord and bulb.

The edges of roadways, vacant lots, and other barren and rocky places are inhospitable to all but the toughest of plants. Where others may see weeds, we see wildflowers. The creamy white of Queen Anne's Lace plays off the cool blue of chicory, dainty petals mixing with woody stalks and spiky leaves. This piece celebrates the resilient kind of beauty that thrives despite long odds. Handmade to order. The small seaside town of Cambria, California holds a special place in our hearts as it is home to one of our two art pottery galleries. We often travel to Cambria—south of Big Sur and the Monterey Peninsula—and over the past ten years have found bountiful inspiration from the area. The Hideout Tile’s secluded cabin amongst the Monterey pine forest and foothills reminds us of our California connection. Handmade to order. The tritone is a musical interval composed of three adjacent whole tones. Ephraim artists play with a variation on this theme by creating three precisely, hand-rendered flower buds that encircle a small, soft form. The Tritone Vase is available in three glaze colors to coordinate with designs from our musically-inspired Rhythm Line, including the Revival Rose Vase the Lyrical Poppy Vase, and the Regency Poppy Vase.
