Rounding a bend on a wooded path, a lake vista opens before you. The brightness of the golden sun sparkling on the water contrasts with the intensely colored autumn leaves. Handmade to order. The Craftsman Rose is a classic motif that never goes out of style. Here it appears framed in a windowpane pattern that accents its square shape. The full, round belly of the bowl provides a contrasting softness that is echoed in the handle of the jar's lid. Handmade to order. A willowy dragonfly arcs over the edge of a lotus flower in Ephraim’s Lotus Dragonfly Tile. The serene subject matter and soft color palette create a calm, harmonious composition. This tile is also transformational. The design can be expanded by displaying four tiles together, resulting in a kaleidoscopic design that presents the whole lotus flower surrounded by four dancing dragonflies. Handmade to order. A colony of ravens nest in a rookery. In the studio we imagined this rook’s humble abode nestled in the tallest tree in a pine forest. The folksy sculptural style and the atmospheric textural glaze reinforce the storybook quality that makes the Rookery Vase such a special piece. Handmade to order. Some members of the magnolia family can trace their ancient origins back 95 million years—before bees were the bees knees—and to this day are pollinated instead by beetles. This vase celebrates the magnificent blossoms of the great magnolia tree. Dramatic sculpting and a cascading glaze application of green mingling with vibrant pinks and cranberry make this a stunning statement piece.

The studio revisits our popular Craftsman Rose motif in this tall, elegant vase. Bold architecture and abstract, stylized roses anchor the top of the vase. The strong sculpture fades into soft curves at the bottom of the form, providing a nice counterbalance. Handmade to order. Each spring we trek into the woods to seek the trillium blooms adorning the forest floor. The faultless symmetry of the trillium represents nature’s order and perfection, and this sweet tile characterizes that quintessential symmetry with the flower centered in a square border. The tritone is a musical interval composed of three adjacent whole tones. Ephraim artists play with a variation on this theme by creating three precisely, hand-rendered flower buds that encircle a small, soft form. The Tritone Vase is available in three glaze colors to coordinate with designs from our musically-inspired Rhythm Line, including the Revival Rose Vase the Lyrical Poppy Vase, and the Regency Poppy Vase. A little bat with big personality wakes from slumber against a moody sky to take wing on a vespertine voyage. Like the bat itself, the hand-thrown bottle form and detailed sculpture work provide plenty of character and charm in a small package. This piece makes a lovely companion to our Sleepy Hollow Vase.
