Since we opened our West Coast Gallery in Cambria, California in 2012, we embraced natural beauty of California. Our California customers encouraged us to feature their state flower, the California Poppy and now we turn to this motif often as a source of inspiration. Ephraim artists first created this classic Grueby Faience Pottery reproduction piece in 1999. This monumental vase has remained a part of our line ever since. When several Ephraim artists travelled to Costa Rica, they were struck by the beautiful drape and bright blue color of these blossoms, inspiring this hand-sculpted vessel. The skyflower is widely cultivated by Central and South American gardeners for its floral clusters that bloom to attract butterflies and hummingbirds year round. Handmade to order. This stunning, impressive vase features our favorite neighborhood orchid—the Lady Slipper Orchid. The leaves of the orchid rise diagonally on the face of the vase to form three handles, while the eye-catching blooms rest on the shoulder of the vase, between the leaves. Monochromatic, deep green glaze perfectly sets off the pink and cranberry tones of the orchid. Handmade to order. Some members of the magnolia family can trace their ancient origins back 95 million years—before bees were the bees knees—and to this day are pollinated instead by beetles. This vase celebrates the magnificent blossoms of the great magnolia tree. The studio revisits our popular Craftsman Rose motif in this tall, elegant vase. Bold architecture and abstract, stylized roses anchor the top of the vase.
