In folklore, ravens often play the tricksters and here we have portrayed two mischievous and conspiring ravens on a thick tree branch that winds around this vase. Stretching from the bottom to the top of the vase, the branch is separated in the mid-section, enhancing the illusion of depth. Our Mahogany glaze accented with a Crystalline Purple base and a Cranberry rim is the perfect moody background to set the scene. Handmade to order. We designed the Oak Branch Bowl in the style of our popular, retired Gingko Branch and Pine Branch Vases. These three designs feature arboreal motifs that wrap around the rim, forming branch handles to create a sculptural piece. When several Ephraim artists travelled to Costa Rica, they were struck by the beautiful drape and bright blue color of these blossoms, inspiring this hand-sculpted vessel. This stunning, impressive vase features our favorite neighborhood orchid—the Lady Slipper Orchid. The leaves of the orchid rise diagonally on the face of the vase to form three handles, while the eye-catching blooms rest on the shoulder of the vase, between the leaves.
