The small seaside town of Cambria, California holds a special place in our hearts as it is home to one of our two art pottery galleries. We often travel to Cambria—south of Big Sur and the Monterey Peninsula—and over the past ten years have found bountiful inspiration from the area. The Hideout Tile’s secluded cabin amongst the Monterey pine forest and foothills reminds us of our California connection. Handmade to order. Since we opened our West Coast Gallery in Cambria, California in 2012, we embraced natural beauty of California. Our California customers encouraged us to feature their state flower, the California Poppy and now we turn to this motif often as a source of inspiration. This impressive piece offers a new twist - literally - on the beloved pine cone motif. Three tree limbs equally spaced around the top of the piece twist down to the shoulder, forming rustic handles.
